About the Role :  working 7pm-7am on a 2,2, 3 rotation (includes working every other weekend) 

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining all company assets as designed through preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance practices using skills and tools available. Identifies repetitive failures and implements improvement plans with the help of engineering. To qualify as a Maintenance Technician II the candidate must have 1 or more years of experience at a Level 1 or 3 or more years of previous maintenance technician experience. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Conducts preventative and predictive maintenance to maintain machine integrity and minimize downtime.   

  • Conducts scheduled project maintenance to repair or rebuild equipment that is planned.  

  • Conducts reactive maintenance to repair unexpected breakdowns.  

  • Input detailed and accurate data into computerized maintenance management system.   

  • Maintains housekeeping, safety and environmental to ensure a clean and safe work environment. 

  • Additional projects as assigned by supervisor.  

 

What You Need: 

  • High School diploma is required; with a journey worker certificate preferred. 

  • Enrollment or completion of a certificate/degree program with at least 1-year job experience or 4 or more years of job experience preferred  

  • Knowledge of Industrial controls and mechanical systems  

  • Must possess valid driver’s license and method of transportation for frequent trips between plants  

  • 3 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, extruded plastics preferred.  

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.  

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.  

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and CMMS 

  • Ability to use hand and power tools, computer, fall protection equipment, and electrical testing equipment.
