Deli Associate

As a Deli Associate at Acme Fresh Market, responsibilities include:

• Expertly slicing meats and cheeses according to customer specifications
• Preparing a variety of deli offerings, including sandwiches, salads, soups, and fried chicken
• Accurately weighing, labeling, and packaging products for sale
• Ensuring the deli area and equipment are consistently clean and sanitized
• Restocking and organizing product displays to maintain visual appeal and inventory flow
• Monitoring inventory levels and promptly removing expired or unsellable items

Deli Associates work together to create a friendly, customer-first atmosphere while keeping things clean, safe, and running smoothly behind the counter.

Requirements

• Age:  Must be at least 18 years old
• Customer service skills: Friendly, helpful, and able to interact professionally with customers.
• Food handling knowledge: Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
• Equipment operation: Ability to use slicers, scales, and cash registers.
• Physical stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, exposure to both hot and cold environments.
• Attention to detail: Checking expiration dates, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring product quality.
