Job DetailsJob Location: American Fuji Seal BTN - Bardstown, KY 40004Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $84,150.00 - $99,000.00 SalaryTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: 1st ShiftJob Category: EngineeringSummary/Objective: The Plant Engineer is responsible for partnering with other members of the Production Engineering and Maintenance team to use his/her knowledge and expertise in maintaining the mechanical and electrical control systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure the smooth production function and operation of printing presses and associated equipment.   Specific Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Work collaboratively with Maintenance and Electrician team on day-to-day problems such as equipment breakdowns or supporting ongoing projects within the facility. Participates in the design and development of supplementary processes or equipment with Engineering Team; able to fully support the electrical installation of new equipment and mechanically when needed. Should be able to work with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in Flexible printing industry. Good knowledge of Industrial Automation Products like Drives, PLC, SCADA from major suppliers like Siemens & Rexroth. Ability to understand Electrical, pneumatic and mechanical Schematics for both troubleshooting and designing for new internal control systems. Possesses basic capability in PLC or equivalent software for machine control and communication among machines, HMI, and other components. Experience in LabVIEW programming, VFD’s and Ladder-Logic programming is a plus. Works with state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations with regards to equipment installations and/or other facility processes; ensures projects meet legal requirements, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements. Evaluate current equipment/mechanical and electrical installations for issues, work with Production teams on scheduling repairs and preventative maintenance measures if necessary. Supports any efforts to maintain high-quality standards as defined by BRC and other plant-wide initiatives to help the parent-company, local company, and the department. Education and Experience: Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanic Engineering with 10 years’ Experience or bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic or Mechanic Engineering with 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Printing and packaging industry. Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods Able to move and lift to 50 lbs. Able to reach and bend Travel Required: Ability to travel 5% domestically and internationally.
