We are currently recruiting for the position of General Manager. Starting pay: $125,000.00 The General Manager reports to the Supply Chain Manager and/or the Director of Packaging and Distribution. The tasks and responsibilities required of the General Manager are outlined below: Develop operational metrics to drive facility, shift, and individual associate performance in the areas of safety, quality, inventory accuracy, productivity, and damage elimination. Daily balancing of labor availability against volume requirements throughout the facility. Evaluates warehousing procedures and designs new methods of efficiency in warehousing and docks, minimizing costs, responsible for the most effective utilization of workspace and labor. Manages and coordinates the activities of all disciplines in the warehouse to ensure performance objectives are met. Increase warehouse productivity through the ability to plan, organize, and direct personnel resources and implement programs for improvement. Partnering with Human Resources to develop, implement, and measure effectiveness of employee performance management and development initiatives. Is proactive in identifying opportunities to improve the operations and create standardized business processes that result in increased performance, minimized costs and enhanced customer service. Create and maintain a well-trained staff that could be promoted through cross training and mentoring. Ensure company policies (budget, progressive discipline, recognition, and retention) procedures and values are communicated, administered, and enforced. Ensures the accurate and timely preparation of all necessary reports and records regarding warehouse operations. Responsible for managing warehouse related budget and expense items; assist in the annual preparation of the budget documentation. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Responsible to perform all duties in a safe, clean, and organized manner. Participates in special projects as required. Responsible for performing all duties as required and assigned.   We offer an excellent benefit and compensation package. EOE Work Location: In personQualificationsThe skills and qualifications needed of a General Manager are outlined below: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Three to five years’ Manager Resources Manager’ experience direct operational experience in a materials & logistics environment and in a leadership role. Three to five years’ experience in project management, applying supply chain technologies to solve business problems. APICS Certification and knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma practices a plus. Must have exceptional communication skills and exhibit a hands-on management approach that encourages change and creative problem-solving. Must have a working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in WMS, RF Applications, word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software. (MS Office, Visio)
