We support people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to live their best life, to be part of the community, to explore their dreams and achieve their goals. If you have a positive mindset, are passionate about helping people achieve goals and maintain their independence, you are probably a great fit for our team! Summary of Duties Serve as primary support staff, working with an Individual with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and/or Autism Support the individual to live as independently as possible within their own home Have related experience providing direct support to individuals with a variety of support needs (behavioral, emotional, communication, self-care etc.) Complete all online notes and data collection related to the individual’s daily experiences Collaborate and build positive relationships with team members, other support staff, and other appropriate individuals both inside and outside the agency as needed Preserve privacy, confidentiality and ensure dignity to assigned individual and all others Attend training, in-services, and/or conferences to assure professional growth as approved by supervisor  Compensation and Benefits WCMHS provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, and a generous paid time off package including flexible holidays and 12 vacation days in year one. The starting pay range for this position is $19.06 - $19.84 QualificationsSummary of Qualifications  High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of ethical work practices, a sense of humor, ability to adapt to a changing environment and experience with technology such as Microsoft applications  Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/Autism preferred but not necessary Valid driver’s license, good driving record and safe, reliable, insured vehicle required Workplace Condition Working in a variety of locations including program spaces, residential environments, and in the community, working with clients who may have difficult behaviors, transporting clients with one’s car is required, and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Work hours include evening and weekend shifts as needed to meet staffing requirements. #DSP Â
