Quality Technician

The Quality Technician performs daily inspections of precision product per Swiss Automation, Inc. procedures. Maintains quality and safety standards, keeps records, and maintains equipment and supplies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of turned production for conformance to blueprint specifications.
  • Performs detailed visual inspections and measures dimensions of products using various instruments such as microscopes, comparators, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Notifies supervisor and/or shop foremen when inspection results exceed acceptable limits and does not meet specifications. Record and report all inspection results in QC Database.
  • Complete Product ID lot ticket and route product accordingly.
  • Provide support for sorting or packaging product when needed.
  • Perform other related duties, as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect precision machined parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to handle delicate parts and operate gauges and inspection equipment. 
  • Physical ability to perform work requiring continuous sitting with frequent walking, bending, twisting, and lifting the entire shift.
  • Physical strength to lift and carry 30lbs. frequently throughout the day.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Previous quality control experience with precision component parts.
  • Prior experience in In-Process and Final inspections.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T.
  • Ability to read precision gauges and visual accuracy.
  • Possess strong mathematical abilities, verbal/written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with inspection equipment and instruments.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Good attendance and performance work history.
  • Must be eligible to work in the Unites States.
  • Starting rate is based on experience and skillset, min: $19.00
