Auntie Anne's Pretzels has created a family-oriented working environment built on communication, teamwork, and mutual respect. We are seeking an energetic, positive, and organized natural leader to become the new Store Manager at the Auntie Anne's opening at the Outlets at Barstow. 

JOB SUMMARY

The Store Manager is responsible for efficient, professional, and profitable store operation. This includes ensuring full compliance with state and federal labor laws, sanitation, and food-related ordinances. In addition to managing day-to-day business operations, the Store Manager will assist in new local store marketing and identifying other potential revenue sources.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures legal, efficient, professional, and profitable store operation.
  • Reviews financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursements, labor and product costs, wage and salary control.
  • Performs all staff evaluations consistent with employee handbook guidelines set and makes recommendations for staff promotions, wage increases.
  • Provides progressive corrective counseling with staff, including termination.
  • Monitors staffing levels and labor costs to maximize efficiency and control labor expense ratios.
  • Takes accurate monthly physical inventory.
  • Reviews and authorizes invoice payment for vendors, goods/service providers.
  • Communicates with corporate accounting, human resources, and payroll departments.
  • Monitors inventory levels, production, waste, unauthorized "giveaways", etc, to control goods.
  • Directs operations goals for increasing sales, reducing expenses, maximizing net operating income while maintaining annual budget.
  • Assists Director of Food Operations in reviewing, amending policies & procedures or contracts.
  • Oversees scheduling and labor allocation.
  • Evaluates historical sales and purchasing data identifying purchasing patterns and accurate goods costs.
  • Provides supervisors with proper direction and follow up on all assignments.
  • Inspects restaurant regularly ensuring established quality standards are maintained.
  • Develops an effective team.
  • Directs team clearly while providing training and role modeling for excellent work performance.
  • Executes marketing promotions guided by Franchisors and Director of Operations.
  • Participates in meetings as scheduled by the Director of Operations.
  • Reviews and approves timesheets of all staff to account for all work hours, meal penalties, overtime, absences, and release to corporate payroll department by payroll deadline.
  • Reviews, approves, and records all time off requests and notify corporate payroll department within a timely manner.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientations and works with Human Resources to ensure all onboarding materials and safety trainings are completed in a timely manner.
  • Performs special projects or other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 year management experience in a food-related or concessions industry.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to occasionally work long hours.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES

  • Possess valid food handlers certificate if required by state or local government.
  • Valid Drivers License.
