We are looking for a Street Sweeper Driver at our Barstow Hauling Division:

SALARY RANGE: $25.00 - $26.75

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Operation of Street Sweeper Equipment:
- Safely operate street sweeper equipment to clean streets, parking lots, and other designated areas.
- Follow established routes and schedules for street sweeping services.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Quality Street Sweeping:
- Ensure thorough and effective street sweeping to remove dirt, debris, and litter.
- Pay attention to detail, especially in areas with high foot traffic or heavy debris.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs on street sweeper equipment.
- Report any equipment issues or malfunctions to the maintenance department for prompt repair.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safety-conscious mindset at all times.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including routes, hours worked, and any incidents or issues encountered.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public when necessary.
- Respond courteously to inquiries and concerns from the public regarding street sweeping activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Be able to communicate in English and have the ability to understand and complete route sheets
Professional demeanor, good problem-solving, and communication skills

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

A valid California Commercial Driver’s license and a clean driving record are required
One year of experience operating a commercial vehicle (Class A/B) is required

PHYSICAL:

Ability to operate a truck.
Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs as needed.
Able to climb in and out of the truck cab frequently.
Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of material.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, snow, fog).
Will be exposed to changing road conditions and closures.
Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels.
