Job Title: Graduate Assistant

Supervisor: Director of Exercise Science

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree

Classification: Hourly (average 20hrs per week while school is in session)

Qualifications:

· A growing relationship with Jesus

· Acceptance into OKWU’s master’s program

· The ability to maintain a 3.0 GPA in the master’s program

Responsibilities:

· Retention

· Assist the Director and Dean with advising in the Department of Exercise Science

· Maintain and update degree plans for students in the department

· Accreditation

· Assist with the collection of data and the development reports as needed

· Alumni Relations

· Assist in collecting graduating seniors contact information

· Assist in communication with Exercise Science alumni

· Assist Director and Dean as needed

· Keep minutes for faculty meetings

· Proctoring tests when instructors are out

· Assist with the planning and coordination of department events

· Grading assignments on occasion

· Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Dean
