We are currently hiring for the role of Accounting Specialist. SUMMARY The Accounting Specialist is primarily responsible for performing day-to-day accounting tasks and activities. Along with a team of employees, this includes, but is not limited to, transactions that impact the general cash account, collections and on hold orders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Monitor and process incoming emails from the AR email address. Work with customers to collect past due receivables. Learn and understand how to process sales tax exemptions from customers. Handle new customer onboarding, including ship-to addresses, credit applications, etc. Any variances to this process should be AR Lead. Learn and to process customer tax credits. Be responsible for maintaining specific customers/accounts by providing account balances and documenting attempts to collect. Analyze and resolve account application issues. Analyze and resolve partial payment issues. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Able to exercise extreme attention to detail. Well organized and able to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong professional communication skills, written and verbal, required for both internal and external interactions. EDUCATION/TRAINING 1-3 years working in an accounting capacity, within an accounting department. Experience with various accounting platforms required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
