Story Land - Retail Sales Host (Seasonal)Roles & Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities:Â
Welcome and greet all guests with a smile as they enter retail locationsÂ
Initiate conversations with guests and assist with any questions they may have regarding our merchandise or souvenirsÂ
Maintain a general knowledge of all available merchandise to assist guests with questions regarding our productsÂ
Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions; promote these events to prospective guestsÂ
Attempt to increase revenue by utilizing various sales techniques, such as suggestive selling or upsellingÂ
Resolve guest concerns in a courteous and prompt mannerÂ
Operate all POS equipment accurately to finalize all purchasesÂ
Ensure merchandise is well stocked, organized, and presentable for our guestsÂ
Ensure the retail locations are clean and safe for our guestsÂ
Refold or rehang clothing items as necessaryÂ
Assist managers and supervisors with monitoring inventory control methodsÂ
Process and return damaged merchandise in accordance with company policiesÂ
Operate mobile retail carts, when applicableÂ
Rotate food and beverage products according to department standards and in compliance with health code regulationsÂ
Safely and properly use a step ladder to reach higher shelvingÂ
Remain vigilant for possible theft from guests or other employeesÂ
Notify leadership when supplies are running low such as printer paper, ink pens, trash bags, shopping bags, etc.Â
Report maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor or manager in a timely mannerÂ

Previous retail experience is helpful but not requiredÂ

Language:Â Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Â

Must be at least 14 years of age to comply with New Hampshire Child Labor LawsÂ
Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysÂ
Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shiftÂ
Ability to comply with all uniform policiesÂ
Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerÂ
Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfactionÂ
Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plusÂ
Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyÂ

Physical Requirements:Â
Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workdayÂ
Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersÂ
Ability to use a step ladder in a safe and proper mannerÂ
Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 40 pounds or moreÂ

This role will be based in one or more retail locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environmentsÂ
