Vacuum Truck / Jet Truck Operator (Class A CDL)

GEIR is seeking hardworking, safety-focused Vacuum Truck / Jet Truck Operators to join our growing team. This hands-on position combines commercial driving with environmental and industrial field work.


Approximately 20% of your time will be spent driving, while 80% will involve operating equipment and supporting industrial cleaning, environmental services, and emergency response projects. What You'll Do

  • Operate vacuum trucks, jet trucks, and other specialized equipment
  • Transport equipment and materials to customer and project sites
  • Assist with industrial cleaning, environmental services, and emergency response operations
  • Operate vacuum systems, hydro blasting equipment, pumps, hoses, and related tools
  • Load and unload materials at treatment and disposal facilities
  • Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections
  • Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures
  • Represent GEIR professionally on customer job sites


Work Schedule & Highlights

Physical Requirements

This position requires working in physically demanding industrial environments and varying weather conditions. Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and dusty conditions
  • Work in confined spaces and at elevated heights
  • Wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary (clean-shaven status may be required for proper fit)
  • Stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Tanker Endorsement
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Registered with the DOT Clearinghouse
  • Clean driving record for the past three years
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding outdoor work
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and wear respiratory protection when required
  • Flexibility to work overtime, extended shifts, weekends, and emergency callouts


Preferred Qualifications

  • HazMat Endorsement
  • Two or more years of heavy equipment or industrial operations experience
  • Experience with vacuum trucks, hydro blasting, or industrial cleaning equipment
  • Environmental, industrial, construction, or related field service experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
