Job DetailsJob Location: Big Tex Ohio - Batavia, OH 45103Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayPOSITION SUMMARY The Coating Technician is responsible to ensure the trailer finishing quality, coating process performance, preventative maintenance process and make sure the ATW coating standards are followed to support the plant objectives. The Coating Technician will be responsible for training paint and primer, sandblast, and wash bay.  This position does require some overtime when needed, which might include some Saturdays.  SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   Monitor and record based on the process standards for all the “KEY” Process, operations, equipment and parameters, included but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities list. Support the problem solving activities related with the area and serve as a monitor to alert early in case of potential problem or deviation to the parameters: Air dryer: Dryer is on and working properly Make sure air is clean using a white rag Wash Bay: Chemical flows are correct and meets operating instructions Pressures are in parameters of operating instructions Temperatures are in parameters of operating instructions Halo nozzles are clean and operating correctly Visually inspect pumps for leaks/damage Ensure that chemicals are being rinsed off of the parts completely Verify parts are clean by wiping with a light colored rag Dry off oven: Verify no parts have fallen in the oven Verify the temp is within the operating parameters Document temp on temp log sheet Verify that the burner has a blueish colored flame(not orange) Caulking: Verify caulking beads meet the visual standard Visually inspect caulking machine for damage Paint booth/Blast booth: Booth, guns and hoppers are all grounded Airline to azo vent assist and bearing seal is hooked up and operating to parameters Hopper connections are all good Pump Venturi have been checked Transfer pumps are working correctly Final filter pressures are good Cartridge filters are good Pulsing is working in all banks Hopper is fluidizing to set pressures Check for powder and air leaks around hopper and booth Gun spray patterns look good Make sure all collector trays are fluidizing and transferring powder back to the hopper Blast Profile Check equipment Workmanship standard performance: Check parts exiting the booth for proper paint coverage and defect issues fifteen times per shift Verify proper mil thickness and coverage on parts exiting the cure oven Give feedback to painters on performance levels of the coating Cure Oven: Visually inspect cure oven for fallen parts Verify and document oven temp to make sure it is operating within operating parameters four times per shift Workmanship standard performance: Check parts exiting the booth for proper paint coverage and defect issues fifteen times per shift Verify proper mil thickness and coverage on parts exiting the cure oven Give feedback to painters on performance levels of the coating Verify that the coating passes the MEK cure test Verify mil thickness is meeting the workmanship standard thickness Verify there is a uniform coating/giving feedback to team lead and painters Parts and maintenance: Inventory parts cabinet for powder coating equipment and wash bay equipment order and replace spare parts as needed to keep down time to a minimum Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Maintenance training (needed) Gauges, documents and parameters understanding 3 years minimum working with equipment (preferred) Software experience, - Office (preferred) Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills Abilities to fix equipment and powder coating maintenance 1 years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated equipment oriented and organized work abilities
