Milacron is seeking a Sales Project Engineer (SPE) to join our team in Batavia, OH. In this role, you will support the sales organization by developing accurate, competitive sales quotations and managing orders from quote through delivery. You will serve as a key liaison between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and customers—ensuring order accuracy, timeline alignment, and issue resolution. This role also includes mentoring and supporting less-experienced Sales Project Engineers as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Quotation Support

  • Prepare comprehensive sales quotations in support of the sales organization.
  • Develop detailed equipment cost analyses for proposal elements.
  • Provide technical input into sales quotations, tools, and customer-facing sales literature.
  • Advise sales personnel and customers on proper equipment selection for specific applications.

Order Management & Coordination

  • Process orders and provide accurate information to the order entry process.
  • Track order progress from entry through completion, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing to monitor design and machine build progress.
  • Verify machine completion status and communicate confirmed ship dates to Sales.
  • Investigate problem orders and recommend process or execution improvements.

Technical & Customer Support

  • Act as a technical resource for existing product lines.
  • Participate in customer discussions as needed to support sales and resolve technical or order-related concerns.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulations related to machine manufacturing.

Collaboration & Development

  • Work closely with the Sales organization to define order specifications and delivery requirements.
  • Support the development and training of newer Sales Project Engineers and sales personnel.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and tools.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Proficiency with PC-based applications, including Microsoft Office:
    • Excel
    • Word
    • Project
  • Basic computer skills with strong analytical capability.
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Exposure to Oracle ERP and Salesforce CRM preferred.
