Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain CMC grinding and non-conventional machining processes and equipment.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects in grinding and non-conventional machining processes.
  • Use structured problem-solving to analyze root cause and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Validate design specifications and ensure effective translation to the shop floor (process capability, setup repeatability, operator usability).
  • Lead and support the development of new processes to support new products.
  • Support daily production of CMC grinding and non-conventional machining processes to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) goals.
  • Monitor process performance and respond to variation from tool wear, machine drift, and part-to-part differences.
  • Interpret dimensional/inspection data and make appropriate process adjustments (feeds/speeds, offsets, dress parameters, etc., as applicable).
  • Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Materials to resolve issues and implement improvements.
     

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • Minimum of 3 years machining related job experience
