Maintenance Technician – Assembly (2nd Shift)

Department: Maintenance
Location: Assembly Facility – Bad Boy Mowers, LLC
Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM)
Overtime: As needed based on production requirements

Position Summary

Bad Boy Mowers is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to support the Assembly Facility by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing general facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to minimize equipment downtime and maintain efficient production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on assembly equipment and production machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Inspect machinery and equipment for proper operation and identify potential maintenance concerns.
  • Replace worn or damaged components using hand and power tools.
  • Perform general facility maintenance, including repairs to doors, air lines, plumbing, and other building systems as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed repairs.
  • Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and production line improvements.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and fellow maintenance team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic mechanical maintenance practices.
  • Basic understanding of motors, sensors, and controls.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic equipment manuals and work instructions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining manufacturing or assembly equipment.
  • Forklift and aerial lift certification (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Thursday
  • 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM
  • Overtime may be required on Fridays or other days based on production and maintenance needs.
