Machine Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator to support daily production operations by safely and efficiently operating assigned machinery. This role is responsible for producing quality parts, following standard work procedures, and meeting productivity and safety requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate assigned production machinery according to standard procedures
• Read basic English and interpret prints or work instructions
• Inspect parts for defects and perform first and last piece checks using gauges
• Complete material handling tasks as required
• Print and apply tickets and labels
• Perform inspections and piece counts after processing
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Produce quality parts while meeting productivity standards
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and keep work areas clean and organized
• Follow all safety requirements, report unsafe conditions, and wear required PPE
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic math and measuring skills
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to read prints and use measuring tools such as calipers and gauges
• Positive, cooperative attitude with strong teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to complete required training during the introductory period
• Basic computer skills for entering and retrieving information

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with high noise levels
• Exposure to moving machinery and materials
• Required use of safety equipment (steel-toe shoes, eye and hearing protection)
• Overtime may be required
