About the Role:

The Banquet Structure role is essential in ensuring that event spaces are prepared to the highest standards for a variety of functions, including weddings, corporate meetings, and social gatherings. This position focuses on arranging furniture, tables, chairs, and basic audio-visual equipment according to specific event layouts and client requirements. The role requires close collaboration with event coordinators and other team members to guarantee timely and efficient setup and breakdown of event spaces. Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing event needs are critical to successfully executing each event. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting and moving heavy objects safely, often up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, if required
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills to coordinator with team members and supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in banquet or event setup roles
• Familiarity with audiovisual equipment and technology used in events

Responsibilities:

• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, furniture, and basic audio-visual equipment
• Collaborate with event planners and other staff to understand and execute the desired room layout
• Ensure all setup activities comply with safety standards and venue policies
• Maintain inventory of setup materials and report any damage or shortages to management
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to last-minute changes or requests during event setup
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of banquet equipment and storage areas
• Carpet cleaning and assistance with special cleaning projects as needed
