SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

Mozaic (a Chapter of The Arc) is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to provide speech and language services to children with developmental disabilities at Keuka Lake School. This role focuses on assessing, planning, and delivering individualized therapy to support communication development in a school-based setting. The goal is to help each child reach their full potential in communication, social interaction, and functional language use.

SPEECH PATHOLOGIST DUTIES

The Speech Pathologist provides therapy to young children both individually and in group settings, using developmentally appropriate and evidence-based techniques. They conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments to identify each child's strengths and needs.

They develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in collaboration with educational and clinical team members. The Speech Pathologist works closely with families and caregivers, offering training, tools, and home-based strategies to support continued progress outside of school.

This role includes participating in team meetings and contributing to interdisciplinary planning for each child's educational and therapeutic success. The Speech Pathologist also supports classroom staff by modeling and promoting effective communication strategies that align with each child's therapy goals and daily routines.

Additionally, the Speech Pathologist advocates for the needs of the children they support, and when necessary, helps families connect with external services to ensure access to comprehensive care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's Degree in Speech and Language with New York State licensure. Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped by NYS Education Department is preferred. Experience with developmentally disabled preferred.

PAY RANGE: $50-65k based on experience

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

37.5 hours per week

LOCATION: Penn Yan & Bath NY
