We are currently seeking a dedicated, servant-hearted General Manager to join our team at Whealdon Estates by Barclay House. Primary Responsibilities of the General Manager

  • Oversee daily community operations, including full profit and loss accountability
  • Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, development, scheduling, and performance management of team members
  • Execute sales and operational strategies in partnership with the Regional Vice President
  • Support and supervise the community’s sales efforts, including tours, sales calls, competitive analysis, and census building activities
  • Ensure effective management of labor, occupancy, expenses, and community budgets
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and promote a safe, well-maintained living and working environment
  • Foster strong relationships with residents, families, team members, community partners, and Support Center departments
  • Monitor building needs, preventative maintenance, and overall facility readiness
  • Conduct resident and staff meetings to ensure open, ongoing communication
  • Provide on call, overnight, and role coverage support as needed to ensure smooth community operations

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Two to four years of successful operations management experience, ideally in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, hospitality, restaurant, or retail management
  • Proven ability to meet financial goals and drive operational excellence
  • Strong history of managing, developing, and coaching team members
  • Understanding of facilities management and preventative maintenance systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with computer-based systems

Additional Requirements

  • Must meet the standards outlined in the company’s Motor Vehicle Policy
  • Valid driver’s license; position may involve driving a company or personal vehicle
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • A caring heart and genuine desire to serve seniors
