Position Summary:Ā
The TAS is a critical role in our unique customer model to execute the BMS aspiration to be the BioPharma that delivers the most impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of new and existing medicines forĀ appropriate patients.āÆāÆĀ
The primary role of the TAS is to drive demand for BMS medicines within their portfolio for theĀ appropriate patients. To meet the HCPs expectations, the TAS engages them with a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) through deeper scientific dialogue on and consistent with label,Ā leveragingĀ new ways of working and CE^3.āÆĀ
The role builds andĀ maintainsĀ strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups practices, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact.āÆĀ
The TAS liaises with other BMS functions as needed to deliver an overall higher Customer Experience (Cx) ā by meeting HCP needs inĀ a timelyĀ and scientific manner. This role will prioritize the safe andĀ appropriate useĀ of BMS products while also focusing on overall business results and performanceĀ objectivesĀ while exemplifying BMS values.āÆāÆĀ
The TAS role is field based. A TAS isĀ anticipatedĀ to spend 100% of their time in the field with external customers.āÆĀ

Portfolio PromotionāÆĀ
Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.āÆĀ
Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating in a balanced manner the clinical and scientific rationale for use of products inĀ appropriate patients.āÆĀ
Engages with and continuouslyĀ maintains/growsĀ a high levelĀ of scientificĀ expertiseĀ in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.āÆĀ
Prepares and successfully implements comprehensive territory and account plans.āÆĀ
Proactively uses available tools such as CE^3 (once implemented) to derive insights and to dynamically inform call plans. Provides feedback on experience using these tools to leadership to enable continuous improvement.āÆĀ
Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue:Ā
Demonstrates scientificĀ expertiseĀ and passion in using approved scientific resources and publications to present information to HCPs and ensures medical accuracy.āÆĀ
Conducts in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discusses product-related scientific information with HCPs that is consistent withĀ label.āÆĀ
Organizes external speaker programs, selecting speakers from list approved by Speakers Bureau andĀ facilitatingĀ scheduling andĀ logistics.āÆĀ
MaintainsĀ a high levelĀ of workingĀ expertiseĀ on emerging data for approved indications.āÆĀ
Engages real-time medical support throughĀ Medical onĀ Call to reactively answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries. āÆĀ

Proactively collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.āÆāÆĀ
Gathers and shares relevant insights and information internally with theĀ appropriate stakeholdersĀ to enable BMS to better serve its customers.āÆĀ

Required Qualifications & Experience:Ā
Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales / MSL / HCP / nurse.āÆĀ
Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.āÆĀ
Demonstrated experience building andĀ maintainingĀ strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network via a customer-centric mindset and desire to create positive and differentiated Customer Experience (Cx).āÆĀ
Experience in OncologyĀ is preferred.āÆĀ
Demonstrated strong capability in account management skill sets, superior selling competencies, and proven sales performanceĀ track recordĀ of meeting or exceeding goals.āÆĀ

Compensation Overview:
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employeeās work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.Ā

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager.
