Communicates to the scrub when an instrument is missing. Cleans surgical instruments according to manufacturers’ guidelines. Perform sterilization for implants using AORN/AAMI guidelines. Knowledge of what instruments belong in sets. Properly packages decontaminated surgical instruments (sets) for sterilization. Reports and delivers broken equipment to OR Manager/Director. QualificationsEducation High school diploma or equivalent preferred   Experience Two (2) years of experience in a hospital or medical environment as an instrument technician preferred. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department policy and procedures and standards independently. Licenses and Certificates ANSI or AAMI certificate preferred.
