Faulk and Winkler, LLC is hiring a Tax Staff Accountant to join our growing team and help build a leading local advisory practice supporting growth-minded business owners in a variety of ways.

As a Tax Staff Accountant at Faulk & Winkler, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of diversified, tax-related tasks, including tax return preparation and research, assisting with special consulting projects and interacting with clients and other associates from the firm.

About You!

  • You have industry experience and are looking to serve clients in new and exciting ways. You bring staff-level tax experience, and are prepared to learn and assist your managers and team with tax preparation and research.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree or higher. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or other related program is preferred, along with proficiency in tax software, specifically CCH Axcess Tax. A CPA license or CPA candidate is preferred.

  • You are a quick thinker, and never stop working to improve the service you provide. Finding a way is one of the most important characteristics of someone who would hold this position.

You will also be performing tax research, in order to put forward our best quality of work. This quality is a must have for any staff at our firm.

  • You are a people person. This role involves collaboration with clients outside of the firm, as well as associates and partners inside of the firm. You will be preparing projections for clients, and will be involved in their tax planning. You must be able to collaborate respectfully and make clients feel welcome.
