Job Summary and Responsibilities

To provide the nutritional needs for LakeWood Health Center by performing the following duties:

 

  • Preparing and serving of meals to Care Center Residents, Hospital and SLS.
  • Know basics of therapeutic diets to ensure proper following of nutrition care plan for resident and patients.
  • Washing dishes with dish machine, using meat slicer, coffee machine, steamer, grill, ovens and handling dishes, hot and cold food.
  • Follow standardized quantity food recipes
  • Ensure meal times are followed while working closely with aids, nurses and Dietitian.
  • Brainstorm ideas for possible solutions to problems pertaining to food service that may arise.
  • Abide to the Minnesota Department of Health safety standards and LakeWood’s Policies.
  • Stocking food items, documentation of food records, grocery items and temperatures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age

Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Must be able to closely interpret and follow Dietary Department policies and procedures
