Packaging Operator - Part Time

About the Role

This is an entry-level, part-time position responsible for performing basic packaging operations. Responsibilities include hand packaging cartons, cases, or bottles; preparing items for shipment; and assisting with packaging operations as needed.

This role offers flexible, part-time scheduling up to 29 hours per week. Shifts are scheduled within the operating hours of Monday-Saturday 7:30am-11:30pm, based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic packaging functions at assigned work centers
• Hand package cartons, cases, and bottles according to standards
• Prepare finished goods for shipment
• Assist with material handling for equipment operations
• Support equipment setup and breakdown activities
• Perform sanitation duties under instruction of a trained operator, including:
  • Cleaning containers, parts, and buckets
  • Proper disposal of pharmaceutical and/or hazardous waste
• Maintain compliance with company rules, regulations, and safety standards
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and hearing protection as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Experience

• 0–2 years of relevant experience

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while meeting quality standards
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to appropriate personal hygiene standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to carry, push, pull, and lift materials
• Frequent standing and walking
• Repetitive motions and manual dexterity (handling, fingering, reaching)
• Ability to climb, kneel, and perform physical tasks as required
• Ability to hear and communicate effectively
• Near visual acuity (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
