Housekeeper

Northern Lakes Senior Living has a positive and family-like culture in a beautiful setting, located at 8186 Excelsior Road in Baxter, MN (Brainerd).  Our care community hosts Assisted and Memory Care services for a total of 68 units. The Housekeeping position provides a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

This Housekeeping services schedule includes;

• Casual / On Call
  • Minimum requirement of 3 shifts per month

Responsibilities

• Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned.
• Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping hard floor surfaces, dusting and/or damp wiping surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors.
• Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time.
• Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
• Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding specifications of resident’s individualized housekeeping needs.
• Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment.
• Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions provided by the manufacturer
• Consistently follows safe body mechanics
• Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floor signs, etc.
• Completes all OSHA training modules in a timely manner.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on daily basis.
• Safeguards others’ well-being by keeping chemicals and other hazardous materials locked when not in active use.
• Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked.
• Communicates need for equipment repairs.
• Adheres to all Lockout/Tagout requirements per policy.
• Assists with light maintenance tasks as needed.
• Participates actively in team meetings, reports on current state in the Community, providing feedback on housekeeping-related items as they arise.

Required Qualifications

• less than 1 year of experience
• Ability to utilize software programs in order to complete work functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 to 3 years of experience
• Experience utilizing software programs such as Educare or TELS in order to complete necessary job functions
