Position Summary:聽 Maintains cleanliness of hospital facilities following hospital, departmental, and regulatory agency requirements.聽 Responsible for providing a safe, sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. 聽聽 Cleans and restocks all assigned areas according to departmental standards and guidelines.
2.聽聽聽聽聽 Disposes of trash, biomedical and solid waste materials to appropriate disposal areas.
3.聽聽聽聽聽 Prepares patient rooms for occupancy after patients are discharged.
4.聽聽聽聽聽 Replaces supplies as needed.
5.聽聽聽聽聽 Alerts supervisor of potential problems and safety hazards.
6.聽聽聽聽聽 Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Lead Duties and Responsibilities (If classified in a Lead Role):
1.聽聽聽聽聽 Assists in quality control and performance improvement activities.
2.聽聽聽聽聽 Contributes to performance feedback, hiring decisions.
3.聽聽聽聽聽 Ensures standards are met (quality, timeliness, customer service, etc.).
4.聽聽聽聽聽 Evaluates and tests new procedures/processes.
5.聽聽聽聽聽 Orients and/or trains new staff.
6.聽聽聽聽聽 Problem solving capabilities.
7.聽聽聽聽聽 Subject matter expert/technical leadership.
8.聽聽聽聽聽 Workflow/distribution of work.
9. Assists in assuring compliance with all regulatory and other agency requirements, laws, and statutes pertaining to the operation of the department.

Qualifications:
Required:
Preferred:聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Six months housekeeping or maintenance experience.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1.聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrates knowledge of hospital and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
- Ability to accurately and legibly complete required work assignment forms.
- Ability to follows instructions and completes all assignments in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of safety procedures regarding disposal of biohazardous wastes and other trash according to departmental procedures.
- Knowledge of safety procedures regarding lifting and transferring equipment, supplies and furniture.
- Ability to use assigned equipment in a safe and careful manner.聽
