Working under the guidance of a registered cardiovascular invasive specialist as needed, conducts tests on pulmonary or cardiovascular systems of patients for diagnostic purposes. May conduct or assist in electrocardiograms, cardiac catheterizations, pulmonary-functions, lung capacity, and similar tests. Maintains equipment; records test results. Follows department policies and protocols.聽 |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Associate degree in allied health field; or bachelor鈥檚 of science degree as health science; or enrolled in an associate degree allied health program with a graduation date within six months and registry eligible RCIS.
- One year of current allied health experience in an acute care setting or registry eligible RCIS.
- BLS Certification 聽
Preferred:聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Recent cardiac cath lab or special procedures experience.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RICS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
Note: Non-registered cardiovascular technologist is strongly encouraged to obtain registration.
