Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking an RN ICU (Intensive Care Unit) for a travel / contract position in Michigan. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.

Pay Rate: Competitive Weekly Gross Pay (Based on experience, location, and applicable travel stipends for qualified travelers)
Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Shift: Varies (Day/Night as assigned)
Schedule: 36–48 hours/week (Facility Schedule)
Position Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN): Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience (Floating experience does not qualify) – Required
- EKG interpretation experience – Required
- Must be willing to float to similar units as needed – Required
- Experience with Neuro ICU, CVICU, or Trauma ICU – Preferred
- Experience managing mechanically ventilated patients – Preferred
- Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP) – Preferred
- Completed ICU Skills Checklist (within the past year) – Required
Education, License & Certification Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or equivalent – Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
- Active Michigan RN License at the time of submission – Required
- ACLS Certification – Required
- BLS Certification – Required
- Michigan License Verification (LARA & Nursys) required at submission
Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall clinical status.
- Interpret EKGs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation and other advanced life support therapies.
- Assist in the management of patients receiving CRRT and intra-aortic balloon pump therapy when applicable.
- Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care needs.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, infection prevention guidelines, and professional nursing standards.
- Float to comparable critical care units when required based on patient care needs.
