About the Role:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by a recognized certifying body such as ASCP or AMT.
- At least one year of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting performing diagnostic testing.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to accurately perform and interpret complex laboratory tests with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certification or specialization in areas such as microbiology, hematology, or molecular diagnostics.
- Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) integration.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and participation in proficiency testing programs.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or high-volume clinical laboratory environment.
- Graduate coursework or continuing education in emerging diagnostic technologies and laboratory management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and other body fluids using automated and manual techniques.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Analyze test results, identify abnormalities, and report findings accurately and promptly to healthcare providers.
- Maintain detailed records of tests performed, quality control procedures, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with medical staff to troubleshoot technical issues and provide expert guidance on laboratory procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, CLIA, and CAP standards.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with advancements in laboratory technology and methodologies.
