What You’ll Be DoingÂ
As the Supervisor of Environmental/Patient Transportation Services, you are responsible for assisting theÂ
Director with managing all aspects of the operational needs of the Housekeeping and Patient TransportationÂ
Department. You will supervise daily housekeeping, waste handling, sanitation and patient transportationÂ
operations. Â
Full Time Exempt/Non-unionÂ
Monday-Friday 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, weekends based on operational needsÂ
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesÂ
â–ª Supervises the day-to-day activities in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures. CoordinatesÂ
housekeeping and transportation activities with other departmentsÂ
â–ª Contributes to the development of annual goals, objectives and departmental budget and activelyÂ
facilitates the achievement of budgeted goals and cost objectives and the on-going evaluation of results.Â
â–ª Actively communicates with administration and other hospital departmentsÂ
â–ª Supervises an effective Quality Assurance Program for the department that is consistent with the overallÂ
Hospital Quality Assurance plan.Â
â–ª Conducts trainings and in-services in performing duties with fellow team members, patients, medicalÂ
staff and visitors.Â
â–ª Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies/requirementsÂ
â–ª Performs other duties as assigned.Â
What We’re Looking ForÂ
Required: Â
â–ª Associate's degree required.Â
â–ª One to three years’ supervisory experience in hospital environment required. Â
Preferred:Â
â–ª Patient transportation experience Â
â–ª Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other dataÂ
â–ª Excellent interpersonal skillsÂ
â–ª High customer service and quality demeanorÂ
â–ª Ability to work under pressure and meet established criteriaÂ
â–ª Ability to apply a participative approach to leading staff, to coordinate and prioritize tasks, and toÂ
develop budgets with a complete understanding of facility needs and requirementsÂ
â–ª Excellent stress management skills, administrative and organizational, and follow-through skills requiredÂ
â–ª Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office,Â
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookÂ
â–ª Health system or hospital backgroundÂ
