Position Summary  

 

Provide radiographic procedures per hospital policy.

 

Job Duties

 

  • All DX positioning/procedures per departmental protocol including fluoroscopy, surgical mobile C-Arm, special procedures
  • Contrast media administration
  • Magnetic Safety, safety of MRI suite and ensures patient safety prior to exam*
  • Equipment operation, equipment cleanliness/disinfection, Quality Control Tests
  • PACS, Putty, Carevue, OpenVista, CDI PACS, StatRad
  • Practices Radiation Protection-ALARA
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Accurately positioning patients for optimal imaging during procedures.
  • Setting up and operating the C-arm fluoroscopy machine, adjusting settings for image clarity, and ensuring proper alignment.
  • Capturing and recording images during procedures, often involving complex movements of the C-arm.
  • Protecting patients, staff, and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure by following safety protocols.
  • Working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient imaging during procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation related to fluoroscopy procedures.
  • Assisting with maintaining a sterile environment, particularly in surgical settings.
  • Adjusting to different physician preferences and adapting to various procedures (e.g., orthopedic, pain management, etc.).

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Meets requirements for registry by the ARRT.
