Position Summary:

AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Bayou La Batre, AL that is the leading boat builder specializing in push boats, both with azimuth thrusters and conventional shaft and propeller.

A Pipe Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welds on stainless steel and copper-nickel piping systems. Work is performed using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) and other approved welding processes in accordance with industry standards.


Essential Functions:

  • Perform pipe welding on stainless steel and copper-nickel piping systems.
  • Utilize GTAW/TIG welding and other applicable welding techniques.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain professional working relationships.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Pipe Welder, preferably in shipbuilding or heavy industrial settings.
  • GTAW/TIG welding (stainless steel and copper-nickel required).
  • Ability to work from blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices and shipyard protocols.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
