JOB DESCRIPTION:

MIT Engineer III 
The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Integration and Transformation (MIT) team is designing and implementing manufacturing processes and equipment across the Andersen Enterprise on medium to large scale projects. Candidates for this position should possess a strong technical background with the desire to be a change agent and have the energy and passion to improve both our production and functional processes while leading with integrity. This is a hybrid role with travel requirements up to 25%. 

 
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES: 

  • Lead or support project teams on the successful commercialization and start-up of new equipment and processes.  

  • Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements 

  • Interface with design, product engineering, supply chain, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability and process capability of new products or product extensions. 

  • Provide expert recommendations regarding the viability of developed design solutions that relate to new or current processes. 

  • Lead/facilitate cross-functional team meetings, kaizens, and Process System Design events. 

  • Ensure built in quality by using DMAIC tools: Process mapping, process capability, C&E Matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, Control Plans. 

  • Develop specifications to procure production equipment and/or complete production lines. 

  • Partner with the Safety group to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements. 

  • Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability. 

  • Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes. 

  • Provide leadership for medium scale projects or coordinate portions of larger projects. 

  • Train and support members of the MIT Engineering team as needed on standard practices, tools, or engineering methodologies as required. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 4 year degree in Engineering or Technology 

  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience preferred with mechanical aptitude 

  • Preferred: 8+ years of equipment design and installation experience 

  • Equipment procurement experience 

  • Project management skills 

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles 

  • Knowledge of quality systems, SPC and process capability  

  • Positive attitude with a desire to build relationships and serve both our internal and external customers 

  • Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups 

  • Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor) 

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
