Job DetailsJob Location: Baytown, TX 77521Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $25.00 - $27.00 HourlyAbout the Job: The Asset Maintenance Tech III plays a key role in servicing, maintaining, and repairing rental equipment. This position handles more complex repairs, manages inventory, and mentors less experienced team members. If you have advanced mechanical skills and enjoy leading the way in solving technical challenges, this role is perfect for you.   Key Responsibilities: Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs on rental equipment, ensuring units are rental-ready. Lead inventory control, including cycle counts and necessary adjustments. Inspect equipment for quality assurance and ensure accurate documentation of check sheets. Manage work orders, recording all parts, labor, and related items. Conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshoot equipment issues. Operate a forklift as needed to move equipment and supplies. Mentor and train junior technicians on maintenance and safety procedures. Occasionally deliver or pick up equipment from customer locations. Prospective employees must submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.           Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical repairs, or a related field Proven experience with inventory control and cycle counts Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required 2-5 years of welding experience is preferred / Knowledge or previous experience with cutting torch and plasma cutter Forklift certification within 90 days of hire Valid driver’s license Experience in the rental/pump industry strongly preferred Ability to lead and mentor junior team members
