Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly hands‑on Production Supervisor to lead a production unit at one of our high‑volume manufacturing facilities. This is a heavy production role responsible for managing day‑to‑day production operations, directly leading hourly production staff, and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met in a fast‑paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure production operates in a safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient manner
  • Directly manage the production team, including shift leads, operators, and general laborers
  • Plan and organize production schedules to meet aggressive production targets and deadlines
  • Monitor production processes continuously and adjust schedules or resources as needed
  • Maintain strict quality control standards and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Use production metrics to identify trends, drive improvements, and maximize uptime, throughput, and profitability
  • Optimize workflow, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency while reducing waste
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, maintenance, and other internal departments
  • Track daily production performance and prepare accurate reports for site leadership
  • Manage budgets, equipment, tooling, and raw materials required for production
  • Ensure production equipment is operated correctly and preventative maintenance activities are executed
  • Partner with site leadership to drive best‑in‑class operational results

 

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proven ability to succeed in a demanding, high‑volume production environment; strong mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop frontline production teams
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for production tracking and reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while focusing resources on high‑value work
  • General understanding of OSHA regulations
  • Strong financial and operational acumen
  • Comfortable working alongside teams on the production floor for the majority of the day
  • Ability to foster a collaborative, team‑oriented work environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required

 

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of three years of manufacturing leadership experience in a production environment
  • Proven history of strong safety performance (low TRIR and LTIR)
  • Experience managing a plant or process operation preferred

 

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods; ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently; ability to work in varying temperatures, around moving mechanical equipment, and in environments with moderate to high noise levels.
