1 Resource Group is currently looking for an Extruder Operator for Manufacturing Plant in Baytown, TX. The Extruder Operator is responsible for the operation of the online extruder(s), Twin Screw Extruders, operation of quality testing equipment, the making of blends, set up of feed for the lines and finished product packaging and storage. Job responsibilities also include quality testing, recording and proper response to testing results. Additional duties required are housekeeping, the maximization of throughput and yield and the ability to assist in supporting areas when necessary. This role will be reporting directly to the Production Team Lead and will interact with all departments across the business. Work will be a mixture of reactive and planned tasks prioritized by the Site Leadership Team. You will be responsible for plant operations to minimize production impacts and enhance reliability, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. Your attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to safety will be essential in maintaining high-quality masterbatch production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

? Must be able to correctly set up and operate all extrusion lines in the department. ? Establish process parameters for new products, experimental products, and R&D runs. ? Set up of raw materials for masterbatch production. ? Operation of the production equipment for the Extrusion Lines. This includes the Twin screw extruder, feed system, raw materials conveying system, silo conveying system, pelletizer, and filling system. ? Perform rounds at specified intervals to ensure optimum operation of the Compounding Processes. ? Achieve and maintain extruders with established cycle time and process parameters. ? Clean extrusion line equipment to ensure no contamination of material occurs because of changeovers in production. ? Understand proper response to process alarms and different process conditions. ? Prepare boxes/liners, complete packaging requirements and bring to storage area. ? Take initiative to be involved with leadership responsibility such as scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, setup reduction, and other continuous improvement, as necessary. ? Fulfill any other reasonable responsibility or duty as identified or requested by a team lead or Site Leadership Team ? General Housekeeping duties ? Participate in ISO internal audits and maintain department Key Performance Indicator’s. ? Write standard work orders in the computerized maintenance management system and perform LOTO. ? Performs QC tasks such as magnet checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, dump logs, equipment attributes, all extruder and dryer system process control checks, etc. OTHER

RESPONSIBILITIES

? Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, due to varying needs. ? Maintain complete and open lines of communication with other personnel, functional groups, or departments to facilitate operations and interaction in the organization. ? Keep Site Leadership Team informed of status and progress, by ensuring that regular and periodical communication takes place. ? Maintain professional conduct, attendance, and high ethical standards in the workplace, complying with company's policies and procedures. ? Fulfill mandatory training requirements applicable for department and job duties as appropriate. ? Documentation is accurate and concise.

Pay $23hr

Dress 

Must have min 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment working with Extruders.

HS Diploma

Masterbatch experience required.
