Job Description

As a Security Officer Customer Service Driver Patrol in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access activities while delivering strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production-adjacent areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, gates, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and document security-related activities, incidents, and daily observations in required reports.
  • Support emergency and evacuation protocols, assist with traffic and/or pedestrian direction during site events, and follow post orders related to restricted areas, hazardous environments, and after-hours operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
