Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of changing work environments and conditions, communicate relevant information to site contacts, and support emergency response activities when assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
