About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to lead inventory accuracy and control processes within our distribution center. This role is critical to ensuring inventory integrity across all warehouse operations—from receiving through shipping.

You’ll oversee cycle counting, reconciliation, and system accuracy while partnering closely with inbound and outbound teams to maintain efficient and accurate inventory flow.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • 3–5 years of warehouse or distribution center experience
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience in inventory control or operations
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools

Preferred:

  • Experience in high-volume retail or multi-SKU distribution environments
  • Familiarity with cycle counting methodologies and audit processes
  • Experience with WMS platforms such as Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or SAP
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience

What You’ll Do

Drive Inventory Accuracy & Control

  • Lead daily inventory control activities including cycle counts, physical counts, and reconciliation
  • Ensure alignment between physical inventory and WMS records
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies (shortages, overages, damages, location errors)
  • Manage inventory adjustments, holds, and corrections in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain proper slotting, location management, and inventory rotation (FIFO/FEFO)

Manage Cycle Counts & Audits

  • Own and execute the site’s cycle count program
  • Analyze count results and implement corrective actions
  • Support full physical inventories and audit requirements
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit standards

Support Warehouse Operations

  • Partner with inbound and outbound teams to ensure accurate inventory movement
  • Validate system transactions across receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, and returns
  • Identify root causes of inventory issues and implement process improvements

Lead & Develop Your Team

  • Supervise and coach inventory control associates and auditors
  • Schedule daily inventory tasks and ensure coverage for audits
  • Provide performance feedback, coaching, and development
  • Maintain accountability for safety, quality, and productivity

Leverage Systems & Data

  • Utilize WMS to monitor inventory activity and exceptions
  • Analyze reporting related to accuracy, adjustments, damages, and location utilization
  • Communicate insights and improvement plans to leadership

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and system controls
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives with operations, IT, and supply chain
  • Support system implementations and enhancements impacting inventory management

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced distribution center environment
  • Frequent walking, standing, lifting, and equipment operation
  • Flexibility to support evenings, weekends, and peak periods as needed
