Commercial Roofing Superintendent

The Commercial Roofing Superintendent is responsible for managing assigned special projects and customer accounts, including General Contractor (GC) projects, large-scale Patch & Repair work, TremCare programs, and other service-related initiatives. This role collaborates closely with Project Managers, Technical Representatives, field personnel, and customers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.

The Commercial Roofing Superintendent provides leadership for field operations and subcontractor management, leveraging extensive experience in commercial and industrial roofing construction to deliver high-quality project outcomes while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage subcontractors to support project execution and completion.
  • Oversee all phases of assigned projects to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and budgets.
  • Interpret and implement project administration requirements, contract specifications, and company standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve scheduling, quality, or operational challenges.
  • Manage project quality control processes and ensure adherence to Tremco and WTI standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule required field inspections and ensure timely completion of corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, project specifications, applicable building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary field liaison between subcontractors, customers, owners, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project coordination.
  • Resolve project issues and conflicts while ensuring work is performed according to specifications and company standards.
  • Prepare and provide project status reports, documentation, and updates to management and customers as required.
  • Foster strong customer relationships and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain and promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Travel throughout the assigned region as necessary to support project and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing commercial and industrial roofing construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead field crews and subcontractors while delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing systems, construction practices, project scheduling, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and project-related documentation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned region as required.

The hourly rate for applicants in this position generally ranges between $30 and $35. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
