Plant Operator Technician I

Position Summary: 

The Plant Operator I reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the maintenance operations at the wastewater plant..

Shift: Monday - Friday 10:00 AM TO 4:00 PM (Hours May Vary)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as a plant operator, responsible for total plant operations.
• Work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
• Monitor equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to speak effectively to customers, vendors, regulatory agents, and employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form.

Requirements

  Minimum Education and Experience

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and physical examination
• Basic math and computer skills (Word, Excel)
