Where You’ll Work

CHI Oakes Hospital, is a 20-bed critical access hospital that provides various inpatient and outpatient services to approximately 14,000 people in southeastern North Dakota. It is also a 24-Hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. The hospital building was newly-constructed in 2007, replacing a 50-year old building, and in 2010, Oakes Community Clinic was opened within the hospital building. The hospital is part of a larger values-based organization, CommonSpirit Health.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

 

What you'll do...

  • Capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure, markers, and shielding. Knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms.
  • Assists with Fluoroscopic procedures
  • Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure
  • Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations. Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, and transfer images.
  • Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms

**$30,000 sign-on incentive for eligible candidate**

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • Medical Radiographer registed in the state of North Dakota 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the state of North Dakota (ND)

Preferred

  • Radiologic Technologist experience in a Critical Access Hospital
  • CT experience or willing to train
