Job DetailsJob Location: Beatrice, NE 68310Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayOverview: The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the maintenance department in a fast-paced meat packing facility. This role ensures all equipment, machinery, and infrastructure are functioning efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and supporting production goals. The supervisor leads a team of maintenance technicians and coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance activities.   Responsibilities: Supervise and schedule maintenance staff to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance. Monitor and maintain critical equipment such as conveyors, refrigeration systems, packaging machines, and hydraulic systems.  Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, and company safety standards.  Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and work orders. Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to resolve equipment-related issues. Manage inventory of spare parts and tools; coordinate with vendors for supplies and services. rain and mentor maintenance personnel on equipment handling, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.  Respond to emergency breakdowns and coordinate rapid repairs to minimize production delays. Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.  Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.  QualificationsSkills and Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical/electrical engineering preferred.  5+ years of maintenance experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment. 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.  Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).  Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.  Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.  Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed. Sufficient written communication and reading skills Ability to operate or to quickly learn equipment Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to follow directions Ability to assess products for quality compliance   Work Environment & Physical Demands The work environment characteristics & physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job.
