Job DetailsJob Location: Beatrice, NE 68310Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayOverview: The Safety and Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs across the entire plant. This role ensures that all employees receive effective instruction in safety, food safety, operational excellence, and new hire onboarding. The Safety and Training Coordinator partners with leadership, supervisors, and HR to build a culture of continuous learning, compliance, and performance improvement. This role bridges the gap between regulatory compliance and floor-level execution. The STC will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor, coaching team members, conducting safety audits, and ensuring all team members possess the skills and qualifications required to work safely and efficiently. Responsibilities: Plant-Wide Training Oversight •    Design, coordinate, and deliver training programs for all departments and shifts. •    Maintain training schedules, records, and compliance documentation. •    Assess training needs through collaboration with department leaders and audits. Safety  •    Safety Incident investigations- Lead or assist in the root cause analysis of near misses, injuries, and property damage incidents; track corrective actions to completion. •    Safety Committee- Facilitate the plant safety committee, ensuring hourly team member representation and actionable takeaways. •    Hazard mitigation- Conduct routine Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and risk assessments on equipment and processes. •    Develop and deliver OSHA-compliant safety training programs. •    Conduct regular refresher courses on workplace safety, hazard communication, and emergency response. •    Monitor effectiveness of safety training and recommend improvements. •    Update and maintain accurate records of all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) used plantwide Food Safety Training •    Ensure all employees are trained in GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, allergen control, sanitation, and regulatory requirements. •    Partner with Quality Assurance to update training content based on audits, inspections, and regulatory changes. •    Reinforce food safety culture through ongoing education and awareness campaigns. Operations Training •    Provide training in equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and production processes. •    Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure employees are trained to follow them. •    Support cross-training initiatives to increase workforce flexibility and efficiency. New Hire Onboarding •    Assist HR Department with structured onboarding programs for all new employees. •    Assist with the introduction of company policies, plant rules, safety expectations, and food safety standards. •    Facilitate hands-on training and mentorship to ensure smooth integration into the workforce after the completion of the new hire orientation Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement •    Track training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics. •    Update training materials to reflect new technologies, processes, and compliance requirements. •    Drive continuous improvement in training delivery methods (classroom, e-learning, hands-on).   QualificationsSkills and Qualifications: •    3+ years of experience in a safety and training role, preferably in food manufacturing or industrial environments. •    Strong knowledge of OSHA, FDA, USDA, and food safety regulations. •    Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. •    Ability to work across multiple shifts and departments. •    Proficiency in training software, LMS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. •    Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.
