We are looking for a 1st Shift Material Handler: Essential Functions Transport all needed supplies correctly and on time to required line or pre-batch area. Communicate with internal customers to determine proper quantities and placement of items needed Responsible for complying Good Manufacturing Practices, maintaining proper sanitation and housekeeping in area. Properly put away any warehouse picks Communicate and coordinate with other Material Handlers to ensure efficient operation of the department Inform proper departments or supervisors of any issues or concerns Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 2 Years of consistent and safe fork lift operation on a stand up forklift The ability to read and understand Line schedules and material needs Positive attendance record Safe operation of stand-up fork truck Desired Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Competencies Technical Capacity Ability to work cooperatively and maintain a professional working relationship with employees Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required. Good organizational skills required Flexibility Physical Demands The work is classified as Light - Medium Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept. of Labor’s Dictionary of Occupational Titles.
