Quality Assurance Technician

Centro, Inc. | Manufacturing | Beaver Dam, WI | 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Centro, Inc. is looking for a detail-driven Quality Assurance Technician to support our production and engineering teams by ensuring our products and processes meet the highest quality standards. In this hands-on role, you will audit products and processes, troubleshoot quality concerns, support corrective actions, and help train team members in our Quality System.

This position is critical to our success—your work helps prevent scrap and rework, protects our customers, and drives continuous improvement across the business unit.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement and support Centro’s Quality System (QSP) on the production floor

  • Audit products, processes, and systems to verify quality and compliance

  • Document and report nonconforming materials and ensure proper disposition

  • Partner with production and engineering to solve problems and implement corrective actions

  • Evaluate parts on hold and provide technical recommendations

  • Perform testing and inspections, including:

    • Weight and wall thickness studies

    • Impact testing for cure verification

    • Incoming inspection of resin and accessories

  • Calibrate tools and measurement equipment

  • Use SPC and quality software to monitor performance and trends

  • Provide real-time feedback to production on product conformity

  • Help train and coach team members on quality standards and procedures

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Follow all OSHA and company safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read, analyze data, and apply basic math (algebra/geometry)

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Basic computer skills

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience

  • Experience in quality, inspection, or ISO-based systems

  • Knowledge of SPC and quality tools

  • ASQ certifications (Quality Technician, Mechanical Inspector, or Quality Engineer)

  • Familiarity with measurement equipment (calipers, gauges, ultrasound thickness testing, etc.)
