We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.      Job Summary At Richelieu Foods we make Great Food from Great People. We are looking for a 1st Shift Material Handler: Shift Hours: 3:00 am - 1:30 pm  Essential Functions · Transport all needed supplies correctly and on time to required line or pre-batch area. · Communicate with internal customers to determine proper quantities and placement of items needed. · Responsible for complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), maintaining proper sanitation and housekeeping in area. · Properly put away any warehouse loads. · Communicate and coordinate with other Material Handlers to ensure efficient operation of the department. · Inform proper departments or supervisors of any issues or concerns. · Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. · Create and Receive TOP’s \ POP’s if needed. · Schedule appointments \ answer emails and phone calls. Basic Qualifications · High School Diploma or GED required. · 2 Years of consistent and safe forklift operation on a stand-up forklift. · The ability to read and understand Line schedules and material needs. · Positive attendance record. · Safe operation of stand-up and sit-down fork truck. · Basic computer skills.   Desired Qualifications · Previous experience in a warehouse environment is a plus. · Previous experience in shipping and receiving is a plus. Competencies · Technical Capacity · Ability to work cooperatively and maintain a professional working relationship with co-workers. · Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required. · Good organizational skills required. · Flexibility     Pay and Benefits  The following information is provided in accordance with applicable state and local laws. Compensation is based on experience, geographic locations, and other legally permitted factors.
