About This Role

The Project Manager, Construction will oversee the execution of utility-scale energy projects from notice to proceed through substantial completion and handover to operations. This role manages EPC contractors, project schedules, budgets, and owner-side consultants while coordinating closely with internal teams across Development, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Operations.

The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining strong communication with internal stakeholders and external partners. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple large-scale infrastructure projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Team Overview

The Construction team is responsible for the successful execution of IPX Power’s utility-scale renewable energy projects across North America. The team works closely with Development, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to manage EPC contractors, oversee project schedules and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently. Construction Project Managers coordinate owner-side consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to drive projects from construction start through commissioning and operational handover while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage construction execution of utility-scale energy projects from NTP through substantial completion and operational handover
  • Monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts, invoices, accruals, and financial reporting
  • Review contractor schedules and ensure alignment across EPC contractors and project stakeholders
  • Track project milestones and manage schedule changes or delays
  • Manage EPC contract deliverables and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Coordinate with contractors, utilities, grid operators, and third-party consultants
  • Manage owner-side site teams and consultant personnel during project execution
  • Track delivery and installation of owner-supplied equipment and ensure contractual milestones are met
  • Support Project Finance teams with construction reporting and documentation including invoices, lien waivers, and progress reports
  • Coordinate with Owner’s Engineers to ensure engineering deliverables meet project specifications
  • Review and manage engineering documentation including RFIs, submittals, transmittals, IFC drawings, and as-built packages
  • Prepare internal project updates and reports for executive leadership
  • Support commissioning activities, quality management, and performance testing
  • Promote strong safety culture and ensure coordination with contractors on site safety practices
  • Mentor Associate Project Managers and support development of junior team members

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience supporting construction of utility-scale energy or infrastructure projects
  • Experience serving as Project Manager or equivalent role on at least two large-scale infrastructure projects from NTP through substantial completion
  • Strong understanding of EPC contracts, construction schedules, project budgets, and reporting processes
  • Experience managing contractor relationships and coordinating with utilities, consultants, and technical teams
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Google Workspace, Slack, Bluebeam, and project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Ability to translate complex project information into clear reports and presentations for executive stakeholders
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with construction safety practices and field coordination
