Software Engineer II, Design Engineering – Nike

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The Consumer Product & Innovation Design Engineering builds software tools and systems to enable end-to-end product creation at speed and scale. We power designers, artists, developers and engineers by equipping them with integrated tools to create, manage and share visual assets across business functions at Nike that make collaboration automated and seamless. You will work with a team of software engineers and partner with our product managers and business users, as well as engineers across CP&I.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a software engineer who can design and write code in a modern software development environment. The candidate needs to be highly collaborative with peers, productive in a fast-paced development environment and have native cloud software engineering experience.

  • Bachelor Degree or a combination of relevant education, training and experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on development experience in javascript/node.js
  • Experience with AWS products including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, s3
  • Strong understanding of architectural design patterns and computer-science fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting modern software architectural principles and patterns (REST, domain-driven design, microservices, etc)
  • Experience with implementing and integrating AI, Machine Learning and related data solutions a plus
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will develop in collaboration with a team of engineers building out tooling for our enterprise facing applications that are part of Nike’s Design domain. You will:

  • Design, implement and test software solutions
  • Help define requirements with engineers and product management team
  • Support internal production systems, including analyzing and resolving issues for end users and partner engineering teams
